Museum

I was learning to do different art then I usually do at home because i do pencil drawing but at the museum. I used foam and paper it was AMAZING!   I found it easy to use Kairangagau, kaiwhakarite and Whai Whakaaro. It was also easy to answer the question one our first sheat. It was hard to out line with the pencil stick. Next time I need to be more focused and try to be faster at doing my art because I was taking a long time. How would you go if you did this art?

 

This is a RAP MaP!!

 Do you know what a rap is? 

On 10/8/21 we were doing a rap with the Dr Seuss book called Hop on Pop. We had to choose a card so then we had to create our groups with the people that had the same number on their cards as us. I was doing it with Danika and Maia. Our Learning Asset was MAHI TAHI and WHAIWHAKAARRO Rap. I found it easy to work with Danika because we just got along and we did it with each other. I found it hard to work with Maia because he just wouldn't join is as much because we had two girls in our group. Next time I need to read the book a few more times before we record it, so that I know the words at the end of the book a little bit better.  Do you think we did a good job with our rap?  What would you suggest we do next time? 
 

Snow

We were learning to put a simile in our writing and adjectives in it also to create a picture for our reader. We had to choose rain, snow or wind to describe. I choose to do snow.  I found it easy to find the picture for my background. I found it hard to know what adjective to put in my writing. Next time I need to try make my writing have more of the senses in.

 

Copyright Challenge

 

We were learning about  Copyright and who owns the images online.
Learning Assets focus: Kaikorero/We are Communicators
I found it easy to find the images on explorer because I knew how to work the website. 
It was hard to delete the words because we had to put the images in the boxes, it was pretty hard doing it on a chromebook for me.
Next time I need to full all of the pictures so you can't see the white in the background.

Road Safety advertisement

 

We were making a road safety advertisement because it was also road safety week. Our learning assets was mahi tahi because we had to work together and Kaikorero because we also had to share our learning. I found it hard to keep still while recording because i kept on shaking while doing that and also what ideas to do for recording.  I found it easy to know what we should record. Next time I need to stop always having the tablet and pass it around so other people can have a turn because i mostly had it the hole time :).  How would you go for this road safety video?

Reflecting on my writing

 For our writing we have been writing Narratives. We have been learning to add a great hook in or opening line to our writing and to start our sentences in different ways.

This week we also had to have a smile and alliteration in our writing. This slide shows my hook in, sentence beginnings, simile and alliteration.

We are using our Kaiwhakarite/Self Manager learning asset by reflecting on our learning.

Triathlon

 

On Thursday 18/03/2021 we had a tryathlon. I did it as an individual since it was my last year at Mangapapa school so I thought I would go myself.  Chloe, Tia and I all had a go at it.

 

I enjoyed giving it a go and never gave up which I am happy about. 

At the end I was huffing and puffing and I was so wet and I didn't want any grass on me but then I was to thirsty so I had to get a drink.

I found hard doing the run because I am not a big fan of it like I am with swimming and biking.

 

Next time I need to train more for my running so next year I can maybe be more faster. 

RESPECT

 

We were learning about whakaute and that means respect. We had to use our PB4L behaviour matrix to look at respect.  We got settings around our school, so we had to do all those things that it say in the picture. 

I found it easy to do the pictures because we knew what all of them would mean and what they could look like. 

I found it hard to Piccollage to decorate our picollage because we did not know what font to do or  what colour to choose. 

Next time I need to not be in all the pictures and let other people be in them because i was in lots of them. 

Korowai

We were learning about collaborators working together to see how we would all collaborate as a team all working together.

I found it easy to draw all of the feathers like drawing the outline of it because it thought it was easier doing little cuts.

I found it hard to draw the patterns. Each person in our group had a different colour and I was red. I thought it was hard to draw the pattern because I did not know what patterns to put on the feather.

I really enjoyed celebrating with my friends because we could work together as a nice team.

Next time I need to work more slow on our patterns because they look rushed a bit so i think we would need to work on that next time.

 

TE WHARE TAPA WHA

 

We were learning about TE WHARE TAPA WHA. I found it easy to find the pictures😀on google. I just searched up things like kittens because I love them so much. It was easy to find the picture of all my learning and I had to find some really good pictures for it.😀.I found it hard to find good pictures because I try my best to find really good ones.

Next time I need to add more things about me rather and I will put more things on like pictures. 😀

Plants

 

We where learning to grow sunflower or carrot and we did reashreach about it. I enjoyed to explore all of the things like planting a sunflower and doing research. I found it challenging to know how much water you can put in your plant to grow. Next time I need to try not over put water in my plant so it doesn't drown. 

The witches

I was learning to make a trailer of my favorite book . My learning shows that I can use characters and images to put on my powtoons and add music. I enjoyed finding the image on google and I learnt how to put it on powtoons. Next time I need to find a characters rather then just putting a picture on my movie trailer.

Feet hands slide

I was learning to make up my own game and if we finished it we could play it and I could play mine! My learning shows that I have made a game up by choosing my favorite games. I enjoyed to play my game with my class and also publishing it on my slides. Next time I need to  chose lots of different kinds of images because there where the same. 

POETRY TIME!

 

I was learning to make a poem that relates to the story and the movie and facts to put down about it like the ears were big because that was like the story.  My learning shows that i have made a poem with a meaning of the bfg movie or book. I found challenging trying to know stuff about the bfg and also putting them in a sentence. Next time I need to make the last bet in a sentence and not just one little sentence.

Powtoon

 

I was learning to make a powtoon. My learning shows that i can animate the characters and you can pick music! I enjoyed looking for a character and also picking the music. Next time I need to re read my sentence and put a text in it so the teacher can read it more easy. 

How to train a cat

 

I was learning to put steps in order and share your steps in order how to make something say how to train a cat. My learning shows that i now know how to make steps in order. I enjoyed putting my learning onto the slides and know what to put on it because i have a good merrey what to put on. Next time i need to re-read my sentence again before i go show my teacher because i had to make go fix up my sentence.

Weekly quiz

 I was learning to find more facts what I did not know about and I learnt lots about it.  My learning shows that I found facts and I learnt more that I did not know about. I found it challenging finding some facts because sometimes you can't find it and that is really hard. Next time I think I should know about them then I can move on another activity.

 

How to post a blog comment

 

I was learning to make a nice comments on a person's blog and not just cool or something. My learning shows that I learnt something new, something I never knew how to do. I enjoyed learning how to copy and paste them in the end to the fridge. Next time I need to know what I am doing just get it done.

Tik Tok report

 

I was learning to write a really good report. I choose to do tik tok because I love it. I enjoyed putting my learning on slides and getting the photos on. I found challenging to finding facts for the start of the tik tok song cause there was not much stuff. Next time I need to find more facts to do and put them down.

Window into my lockdown 2020

We have been learning to do symbols into our 2020 lockdown window. I really enjoyed  to draw the outline of the window. I found it easy  to write window into my lockdown 2020 title.  I found it hard to draw the symbol of tik tok because I forgot what it looked like. Next time I need to draw my tiktok more better.
